Elie Top spent years honing his design skills at Lanvin before launching his namesake line that mixes influences as disparate as medieval crests and armor with outer space, resulting in utterly unique jewels that move.
Take the “Sirius Ring,” crafted in 18-karat white gold and silver, which features a striking round brilliant sapphire surrounded by white diamonds. The ring can be closed to cover the precious stones, easily transitioning the piece from day to night, luxurious to demure.
We think it would make a perfect “something blue” alternative engagement ring, but Top also makes versions featuring other colored gemstones.
This edition is currently sold at Top’s Paris salon at 217 rue Saint Honoré for $19,000, but in May it will be available on 1stdibs.com.
